The consequences of the injury if the cell technologies are not used:DSCN0481
at present the fighter cannot stand on his foot because of the severe pain. He is threatened with the aseptic necrosis of the hucklebone, the injury leading to disability as the hucklebone is one of the main bones ensuring the support ability of the limb.

More information on the wounded soldier

Volodymyr is a fighter of the separate mechanized brigade No. 30 (Novograd-Volynskiy). He was wounded on July 27 last year while taking Savur-Mohyla. He received a mine wound due to the enemy shelling – almost the entire left part of the body of the soldier suffered fragment wounds, however, the left leg was affected most of all.

The soldier was sent to Zaporizhya military hospital, then to Dnipropetrovsk, and Vinnytsya. The treatment performed included only removal of the fragments but the deformed hucklebone had remained fractured for a year. The hero could walk only with a stick. However, his friends and volunteers never left the boy alone with the problem, once they learned about the “Biotech-Rehabilitation of the Injured” they recommended the soldier to seek help in the project. Here, the doctors are ready to use all the experience and impressive potential of the cell technologies to restore the soldier’s health.

Despite the injury, Volodymyr strives to continue to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to devote his life to the protection of his homeland. This specialization was chosen right after school and the fighter graduated from Odessa Institute of Land Forces. Volodymyr is an army officer, he has served in the Armed Forces for 14 years serving. He joined the ATO in July last year, but in March his friends and him already defended Ukraine on the border with the occupied Crimea.

In peacetime Volodymyr was born and lived in Novograd-Volynskiy, where his wife and his 3-year-old son are waiting for him. He is a cheerful, friendly man with a wonderful sense of humor. He adores his family and is fond of sports, plays table tennis.

The basic operation was performed on December 1, 2015. During this operation 3D-gel with chips of osteoplastic material and autologous stem cells were injected in the place of ankle bone’s defect and the apparatus of extrafocal transosseous osteosynthesis was fixed on the foot.
