left leg – consequences of left femur gun wound

  • ununited hip fracture at the edge of the upper and middle thirds;

More about the wounded

Ihor is a soldier of 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, was wounded on 16.08.2014 near Blahodatne Village not far from Shakhtarsk. Ihor and his fellows were ambushed by enemy – only 6 out of 24 people remained alive.

The soldier was initially treated at Odessa hospital where he had a nail installed but the union failed due to the bone tissue significant defect. Ihor can not walk without a stick and suffers severe pain while walking. Odessa volunteer Olha Dombrovska advised the hero to apply for the “Biotech-Rehabilitation of the injured” Project, where the physicians are ready to perform a complex treatment and recover the injured leg.

Ihor lives in Kherson Region. Before the war he served under contract in 28th Brigade immediately after military service. In June 2014 he was sent to the ATO zone in order to protect Ukrainian borders. He participated in the battles near Marynivka, Uspenka, and liberation of Savur-Mohyla together with 30th Brigade.

After returning from the East the soldier was demobilized. He entered Kherson Shipbuilding University. Currently, he continues his study, but health problems sufficiently hinder the hero.

Together with you we will help Ihor to recover!
