More information on patient

Andriy was injured while static duties at the checkpoint near Zhelobok village (Slovyanoserbsk district).

As of September 27, despite a declared truce, positions of Ukrainian troops were once again attacked by fired from “Grady” – there the soldier suffered shrapnel leg injury. First aid was provided to him in Lysychansk, then he was treated in Kharkiv and now transferred to Irpin Military Hospital.

Despite the efforts of physicians it is impossible to restore the bone using traditional methods and Ilaya Medical Centre physicians are willing to provide treatment to the guy and restore the bone by means of cell technology – this is the only way to save the soldier from disability.

Andriy is a native of Sumy region. In peacetime he served in Internal Troops in Kremenchug city and within the territory of Crimea. During armed conflicts he was captured twice: first time – at the end of March, when Russian troops surrounded his unit near Feodosia. After that the unit was transferred to Donetsk, but three months later he was captured by separatists. It should be noted that the soldier is one of those heroes, who liberated Slovyansk.

The guy is fond of sports – swimming, gymnastics, by profession he is PE instructor. Even being severely injured the guy is set to recover quickly and confident that after treatment will continue defending his homeland, and after the war – will return to sports. It’s a good endeavour, isn’t it? But it could be achieved only through our mutual support!

2.5 months after the main stage of treatment of Andriy, a soldier of National Guard, the continuation of active regeneration processes is observed on the injury area. In particular, the new X-ray image showed a complete integration of the introduced cell and tissue material with the recipient bone tissue

First X-ray

07.02.2015

It is showed in an X-ray made 1.5 months after the main stage of treatment. According to the doctors of the ilaya medical center, the X-ray showed the fracture healing and active fusion of the administered autologous cell and tissue material with Andriy’s bone. Having examined the fighter’s leg, the doctors also recommended an active increase of the physical load on the injured leg.
